‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ Gives Us A 90s Spy Thriller By Raj & DK
Suppose you weren’t impressed with the first entry starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra into Prime Video’s spy thriller universe known as Citadel. In that case, you might be happy to hear that India’s Citadel series is being created by Raj & DK. If you aren’t aware of the brilliant shows that this duo has created then you should check out The Family Man, Farzi, and Guns & Gulaabs.
The Indian Citadel series is titled Honey Bunny and it is set in the 90s where we will get to experience all the thrills of a spy series in the vibrant and bustling India of the 90s. As the series is being made in India, it has to have a love story and Raj & DK’s quirky style of humor.
Citadel: Honey Bunny stars Varun Dhawan (Badlapur) and Samantha Ruth Prabhu (The Family Man) in the lead roles with Kay Kay Menon (Farzi), Simran (Vaalee), Soham Majumdar (Kabir Singh), Shivankit Singh Parihar (Aspirants), Kashvi Majmundar, Saqib Saleem (Rangbaaz), and Sikandar Kher (Monkey Man).
While a release date for the upcoming spy thriller series hasn’t been announced, we do know that it will drop on Prime Video sometime this year and we also have a brief teaser for the series in Prime Video’s 2024 announcement video. Check out the teaser below:
We finally have what we have been waiting for since May 2022 and two years later we have the release date for one of India’s best web series’ third season. Yes, we are talking about TVF’s Panchayat Season 3, which is all set to come out on Prime Video on May 28, 2024.
The last two years have been a punishment for Indian web series fans as some of the most highly anticipated shows including Panchayat, The Family Man, and Kota Factory have been taking their sweet time to announce their much-awaited third seasons. But the wait is finally over and while we still don’t know when The Family Man Season 3 and Kota Factory Season 3 are coming out, we do have a big announcement on Panchayat Season 3 and that announcement is that it’s coming sooner than you think.
Panchayat is a slice-of-life comedy-drama series and it is created by Chandan Kumar. The web series follows the story of Abhishek Tripathi a city boy who has to move to a small village named Phulera in Uttar Pradesh, to take over the low-paying government job of the secretary of Gram panchayat in the village. As time goes on Abhishek begins to make Phulera his home and finds friends, mentors, and even love in the village.
Season 2 of Panchayat left our main characters in a very precarious situation with Prahlad losing his son and only family member and the ongoing feud with the MLA resulting in Abhishek getting a transfer letter from Phulera, and while we don’t know how Abhishek is sticking around in the picture we do know that he is certainly in there.
Some theories said that Phulera’s Graham Panchayat will be getting a new secretary in Aasif Khan‘s Ganesh, who will come serve in an antagonistic role but that seems a bit far-fetched as there is no basis or setup to support that theory.
While we don’t have any information on the new cast members joining the series in its third season, we do know that most of our beloved characters will be returning in their respective roles including Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek Tripathi, Raghubir Yadav as Brij Bhushan Dubey, Neena Gupta as Manju Devi, Chandan Roy as Vikas, Faisal Malik as Prahlad Pandey, Ashok Pathak as Vinod, Sanvikaa as Rinki, Durgesh Kumar as Bhushan, Sunita Rajwar as Kranti Devi, and Pankaj Jha as MLA Chandra Kishore Singh.
